Privacy Policy
Last updated: 11 October 2026
imgimg.ai ("we", "us", or "our") provides image-editing tools and related services through imgimg.ai (collectively, the "Services"). This Privacy Policy explains how we process information when you use the Services.
Contact us about privacy at [email protected].
Scope
This policy applies to current and future imgimg.ai Services unless a product-specific notice says otherwise. Magic Eraser is one imgimg.ai tool. The Magic Eraser Chrome extension is optional and has additional, extension-specific disclosures below. You can use the Services without installing the extension. Third-party services we link to or use have their own policies.
Information we process
Images and masks
When you select an image and submit an Edit, we process the source image and the mask that identifies the Unwanted Objects you want removed. We use them only to provide the requested Edit.
Source images may be temporarily stored and processed by service providers for up to 24 hours. Masks are processed only to provide the requested Edit. imgimg.ai does not persist completed image-editing outputs. A service provider may temporarily host an output image under its own policies; download an output you want to keep.
When you use Background Remover, we send the selected source image to Cloudflare Images to create the transparent PNG result. imgimg.ai does not store the source image or result. Cloudflare processes the image under its own policies.
Service-operation information
After your first Accepted Edit Request in Magic Eraser, we set a cookie containing an Anonymous User ID. It distinguishes a browser profile without identifying a person. We use it for service operation and accepted-request usage analysis. It expires 12 months after the most recent Accepted Edit Request.
For each Accepted Edit Request, we retain an Edit Usage Record containing the Anonymous User ID, acceptance time, and service-operation details for up to 12 months. We may use your approximate location to apply the relevant service quota. We do not use it as a profile or precise-location record.
Cookieless analytics
Umami Cloud processes cookieless measurements of pages viewed, browser and device information, approximate country, Core Web Vitals, and allowlisted product-interaction events. We use this to understand and improve the Services. Umami processes this data in its EU region. We do not send the Anonymous User ID, image content, image URLs, filenames, masks, raw error messages, email addresses, provider identifiers, or model identifiers to Umami.
Umami does not set analytics cookies or use session replay, heatmaps, or distinct IDs. For details, see our Cookie Policy.
Magic Eraser Chrome extension
When you choose "Open in Magic Eraser" for an image, the extension accesses the selected image and its URL to fetch that image. It stores the image temporarily in Chrome session storage, then transfers it to imgimg.ai to start the requested image-editing service. The extension does not collect browsing history or page content unrelated to the image you select.
After you reach the Services through the extension welcome page, toolbar, or a successful image import, the Web App stores the time of that event in a local ext record. This record stays in your browser, is not sent to our servers or Umami, and is used only to decide whether to show the optional rate-us prompt after a later download.
You can send optional feedback through imgimg.ai, including after you uninstall the extension or give a low rating. If you submit feedback, we store the tool, reasons, comment, and email address you choose to provide, and forward them to our team by email and Telegram. We use them to improve the Services and, if you provide an email address, to reply to you.
Why we process information
We process images, masks, and the Anonymous User ID to provide the Services and operate image-processing requests. We process Edit Usage Records to keep the Services reliable, prevent misuse, understand capacity, and improve it. We use cookieless analytics as permitted by applicable law.
Service providers and sharing
We use the following service providers to operate the Services. They process information only to provide their services to us, subject to their contractual obligations.
- Cloudflare hosts the Services, temporarily stores Magic Eraser source uploads, and processes Background Remover source images through Cloudflare Images.
- BRIA and Replicate process source images and masks to provide image edits.
- Umami Cloud for cookieless analytics in its EU region.
- Telegram to deliver feedback to our team.
We may also disclose information when required by law or when necessary to protect imgimg.ai, its users, or the public. Providers may process information outside your country. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for international transfers.
Retention
- Temporary source-image uploads: up to 24 hours.
- Background Remover source images and results: not stored by imgimg.ai; Cloudflare Images processes them under its own policies.
- Anonymous User ID cookie: up to 12 months after the latest Accepted Edit Request.
- Local extension-engagement record: 90 days after the latest qualifying extension event.
- Edit Usage Records: up to 12 months.
- Completed image-editing outputs: not retained by imgimg.ai; any provider-hosted output follows that provider's retention policy.
- Analytics information: according to the relevant provider settings.
Your choices and rights
You can choose not to submit an image or use the Magic Eraser Chrome extension. You can clear or block cookies through browser settings, although this can affect service operation. You can clear the local extension-engagement record by clearing site data for imgimg.ai; opening the uninstall feedback page also removes it.
Depending on applicable law, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, object to, or receive a copy of your personal data, and to withdraw consent. To exercise a right, email [email protected]. You may also complain to your local data-protection authority.
Security
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect information. No internet transmission or storage system is completely secure.
Changes
We may update this policy as the Services or our practices change. We will publish the updated version here and revise the "Last updated" date.
Chrome Web Store Limited Use
The Magic Eraser Chrome extension's use of user data complies with the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We use extension user data only to provide or improve its image-import feature and related security and reliability. We do not sell extension user data, use it for personalised advertising, transfer it to data brokers, or use it to determine creditworthiness. We do not allow people to read extension user data except with your explicit consent, when necessary for security, to comply with law, or for aggregated and anonymised internal operations.
